  • Visited casa Cavassa in Saluzzo where we admired a port from this castle so we decided to come here. Wise decision. Externally has already been done, but undoubtedly would require further intervention. Internally very interesting, beautiful rooms with coffered ceilings and beautiful decorations. To support the audio guide. Definitely a Pearl with large potential. Also worth visiting the garden of essences.

  • Residence of 1100 which has undergone great changes over the centuries. The rooms that you visit are wonderful centuries-old architectural treasure trove of ilo. Already the subject of restoration would have to put his hand to retrieve the outside enough in serious condition. We hope that these interventions begin soon!

  • Visiting in Saluzzo casa Cavassa told the Taparelli, patrons of the House Museum, which in Lasnago had a nice big package. When we get there is a Festival to which we take off and reach the Castle, also a native of 1100 but then for some reason fell into disuse and ruin to become, in the last war, public housing. Frescoed, but forgot. In fact the Castle consists of three distinct buildings, belonging to different branches of the family which he rose in the marquisate with high offices and shrewd marriages. The best-known exponent was Massimo d'Azeglio, man of letters and politician, President of the Council before Cavour, what he wanted to do the Italians but left the work largely in its infancy. The building is really no bad condition, inhabited until the 1990s as any municipal accommodation. But when you come in some circles, the ancient, cultured elegance shines through from decorations rich in quotations from the cellars and then along the frescoed walls, coffered ceilings. A succession of literary, historical, mythological and erotic subjects, Roman influences in many grotesques, a taste for excess in which I find myself amused. Special decorations of the coffered ceiling with the foxes leading the dog tied to a post, or the preacher with jumping preaching to geese and hens. And what about the collection of fouls by women that are hanging from the branches of the tree which bacchiano them? Great visit, another Italian gem which give appointment in the future.
