  • Today we were on tour in the Val Tidone area and in the afternoon we were on a visit to the fortress d'olgisio. Beautiful from the outside and even from afar shows all its grandeur and Majesty. Entrance fee is €10 for an hour of visit, which thanks to the guidance, helpful and knowledgeable about history and current events, truths and anecdotes of the fortress, means that are absolutely well spent. Now privately owned, has been modified and remodelled over time, but always trying to maintain a consistent line that does not bring the property out of its historical context. Almost the entire building can be visited, except for a small section reserved to the owners, and despite not having any furniture or original furniture, due to theft or destruction, was refurbished with furniture, objects and objects more or less of the time, they at least allow you can get an idea of what it was like in the past. From the Tower of the keep enjoys a unique 360 panorama! It was a nice and pleasant visit that I recommend to anyone in the area.

  • We decided to stay overnight at this place to match my passion for castles to desire a WE different than usual. Arrived in the early afternoon of Saturday we met off by one of the owners who accompanies us to our room. The room is basic but not missing anything. the only fact about the floors which are consistently slippery and a little care in moving. We are given the key of the door, to be back with comfortable after the closing, which weighs at least a pound ... definitely hard to Miss! In the morning we go to breakfast in the kitchen of a private residence of great local owners, large and, more importantly, with a proposal for a truly incredible food: warm bread, ricotta, honey, fruit sauces, yogurts, juices, milk, coffee, fresh fruit, freshly made eggnog ... we were speechless. Dear owners who respond to questions that arise in a place like this. After breakfast the Castle visit: very interesting. Incredible views, also nothing can exceed the open space between the entrance of the private side, a drawbridge, and the entrance to the central tower. The guide is great, you can see that it is passionate about the topic. Brings us around to various environments by telling everything was discovered and reconstructed. It is truly an experience to try and a place worth visiting. Thanks to proprietors and their availability.

  • Nice place, the tour is only in Italian...
  • Wonderful experience, the rock comes in a good state of preservation and the owners are slowly restoring the individual parts furnishing them from time to time, the cost of the tour is only via Guide and in my case it was very competent. the visit takes about a couple of hours and well worth it.
