  • For those who were to be in transit for the first time or occasionally on the 30 provincial from Savona in Acqui Terme or vice versa, it is worth stopping to see this unusual mushroom-shaped formation. However, one should not expect anything particularly great but simply mushroom shaped special training due to erosion following a landslide from a sandy slope or Moraine, like the rest of the hills that surround the plain Prixia get to the fungus is easy: it is located in the hamlet of Borgo di Piana Prixia along the main road and the entrance is next to the "Castle of the fungus". A few minutes after the cemetery and from there you get to two small balconies (one high and one low) from which we see the fungus and the Valley.

  • An easy walk; leaving the car in the parking lot on the highway in a few minutes you reach this mushroom stone. Shows how patient and wonderful nature which took thousands of years of erosion for giving us this show. The top fifteen meters (it seems that the world is one of the most impressive), formed by two huge boulders and immense weight is almost suspended over the river and leaves us breathless. Being a teacher I planned during the next school trip a brief sojourn with my pupils because, while living at no more than 60-70 km from the area, few have heard of it and fewer still have seen it. Shame because too often we do not linger in our territory, assuming that distant things are better.

  • This phenomenon I have seen elsewhere in plural and that is more impressive. This has a good format and it is short walk from the parking lot.
