  • A visit to Palazzo Farnese was very interesting especially with the young Guide (included in the entrance fee), who preferred to focus on some salt and paintings rather than pass through too many. Shame we could not see the liver of Piacenza I cared about so much, since everything on the basement floor was closed for renovation.

  • In these museums there are many plans to visit, and on top, as she said our guide, is a painting by Botticelli. I didn't think in Piacenza there were all these paintings and sculptures in the Palace, so the experience is positive, this museum that the Cathedral and other churches, at least here you see something beautiful and learn the art. Ticket costs €4.

  • Very helpful staff and nice guide. The building is very impressive and well maintained. We only saw the art exhibition on our tour as the rest of the wings were temporarily closed. The guide was very insightful about the art pieces, freely discussing with us the themes and motifs of the paintings. The tour was in Italian only, although I understand that there are also some English tours, but under special conditions.
  • Love the building & their art/ sculptures. Cheap to visit & engaging for up to one hour.
  • Very interesting palace with valuable works of art and we'll made guides to help you interpret what you see. Plus the staff is very welcoming and kind!
  • There's many things to see, starting from the carriages, the recent Etruscan discovery, the Etruscan liver, paintings and not least the building is impressive as well.
  • One of the best monuments of the city. Located on the edge of town to the North, separated from the settlement, still today communicates a sense of majestic severity. In the years 50-60 in the 1500 at the behest of the Duchess Margaret of Austria, wife of Ottavio Farnese, the Palace was built in the area where it was located the Citadel Viscontea, in order to erect a Ducal residence, it was a place of representation and symbol of power of the Farnese family has several museums, including the one of the carriages, armor. There are several our temporary. The most famous works are the liver and the round of Botticelli.
