  • Beautiful building in the heart of old majestic old Castellamare. The Cathedral is in full what was the spirit of the time. A visit worth.

  • Cathedral pretty but not beautiful that impressed me with the story of Saint cetteus, patron saint of Pescara. Cetteus, Bishop of Amiterno (around dell'Aquila), elected around under the pontificate of Pope Gregory legend has it that the Saint was wrongly accused of having betrayed his city at the time of the Lombards in Italy. For this was martyred by drowning and the body was thrown in the river Aterno with a large stone tied around your neck. Cetteus is considered the protector of Pescara because his body, carried by the current, came to the mouth of the river right near Pescara. There the inhabitants gathered and then bury it in what, centuries later, it has become precisely the Pescara Cathedral. The martyr's relics were kept for years in Chieti and returned to Pescara on the occasion of the dedication of the Church to the patron, on 1 September 1977. Beautiful story!

  • The Cathedral is located next to the river Pescara, approximately half a kilometre from the "dual" of the bridge. He looks svezheotrestavrirovannym, simple, classic katalicheskom style and does not make a Grand impression. However, demand from local: there were quite a lot of people..
