Magnifico e imperdibile esempio di Liberty forse il piu' bello del nostro adorato Paese. Da qualsiasi lato si guardi e' uno spettacolo che concilia con le brutture del mondo "moderno". more »Magnificent and unmissable example of Liberty, perhaps the most beautiful of our beloved country. Il Villino è privato quindi occorre informarsi alli IAT orima di visitarne l'interno, cosa non semplice. E' quantomeno da vedere all'esterno. Utile questo storia: Un’architettura parigina sulla rivier... more »The cottage is private so you should inquire what to visit the Interior alli IAT kata. It is at least to see outside. This story: A Parisian architecture on the Adriatic coast, a solid Phantasmagoria with the sea in the background: this is the Villino Ruggeri at Pesaro. In 1907 the House just built by pharmaceutical entrepreneur Oreste Ruggeri aroused, as well we can imagine, AWE, admiration and envy. Many years after the painter Gallucci, sitting at the bar Calma of Pesaro, complimenting the architect Joseph Banks who had signed the draft of the detached, was surprised by his trust "it wasn't my fault. Orestes, who was enthused at Expo for new art, took me to Paris's drawings of a French architect to build the House. " Oreste Ruggeri, the developer, so he was fascinated by the Art Nouveau architecture in France, so innovative and full of grace, and had decided to play it in his villa in Pesaro. It was impossible to remain indifferent to this new, daring and imaginative construction. The exterior decorations were also innovative in structure: its particular strength, had been used on hydraulic cement, which was unusual for the time, hand crafted by experienced Austrian masters; the masterpiece he has resisted until now to weathering and salt: If external ornaments were made of stucco, some time would be irreparably damaged. The gate, which today remains only the entrance was destroyed in 1936 when the Ruggeri, despite the artistic value of the structure, were forced to give iron to the homeland. The House just built, then, was a fairytale charm appeared in the middle of the desert that was then the waterfront from Pesaro. Try to imagine what it was like a guest of Ruggeri crossing for the first time the entrance gates, perhaps at dusk. In the middle of a garden of rare and exotic plants, is a vision that evokes at the same time the Nordic oriental palaces and castles; the foundations seem to be lapped by the waves, including emerging sometimes Octopus and lobsters. The decorations are all colored in imitation of nature – and not as white as we see them today – and the delicate, natural tones stand out even more thanks to lamps made to place in the garden, spreading their light on stained glass, creating a play of reflections that adds to the already superb architecture, dreamlike aura. The walls of the cottage are entirely frescoed by colorful floral motifs, which are repeated in series. We can guess the look rightly welcomed by Oreste Ruggeri, while accompanying the guests astounded the entrance staircase, refined colors green, purple, light blue, accompanying them to the gate. The two bronze doors are decorated with a bas-relief of Alfredo Canon depicting bathers – almost nymphs – emerging from the transparency of the sea. The image is incredibly naturalistic, clear water; the look of one of the women, facing the audience, has a disturbing effect. It is surrounded by a frame of ceramics and ceramic-written "dominated by here I lost myself", now lost, an ironic reference to the medicine for anemia produced by Ruggeri, who resumed the inscription above the front door by Eduardo Scarpetta in Naples "Here I laugh." Unfortunately in 1921 the magnificent bronze door was replaced by one made of wood. At this point, the host goes back down the stairs and back into the garden to admire more carefully the outside walls. The four sides of the House have different decoration, but the reasons are connected to each other harmoniously, forming a unique masterpiece. Marine decorations of the base, if we go up the walls with his eyes, give way to floral oriental. The façade that faces East, towards the sea, is the most splendid: a triumph of intertwining roots and stylized. Oreste Ruggeri had built the House of the sea not because of the need for a summer house – in fact lived in via Sabbatini, in the historic centre of Pesaro, and then a few steps from the coast – but, we can guess, for the pure pleasure to surprise himself and others, not separated by ideological reasons. Pharmaceutical industrialist believed theories hygienists who claimed the utility of sea bathing; also believed in creating a garden city, a reconstruction of the garden of Eden tailored to wealthy vacationers; He had a vision of the future of the city. Next week we will continue learning about Orestes Ruggeri and enter in his cottage, and discover the wonders that encloses within.
Villino vicinissimo al mare con decorazioni ispirate all' ambiente marino: forse l'esempio più bello di villino liberty in Italia more »Villa close to the sea with décor inspired by the marine environment: perhaps the most beautiful of detached house in Italy
Franco PalazziBeautiful detached House that I remember from childhood, I have always been fascinated and intrigued for not being able to visit the site. On a beautiful location on the garden facing the sea, suffers horribly for unwatchable skyscraper behind him. You could propose a twinning with the palazzina dei giardini ducali, Modena, which is also dominated by a skyscraper that will ruin the look.
