  • What can we say? Pesaro is a town and a nice but not really Venice or Florence ... have as monument a big ball put in the water of some sort of Fountain's cool ... still walking around the city a visit you can do ... it's free.

  • This work of tomato is really beautiful and perfect backdrop with the seaside promenade in Pesaro. The photo is a ritual when it comes to see her for the first time!

  • This monument is a curious ball-shaped modern sculpture (actually a bronze cast) by artist Arnaldo Pomodoro. Its official name is "Sfera Grande" (Large Sphere), but everybody in town calls it "la palla" (the ball), and is a common meeting point for youngsters throughout the year. "The ball" has unexpectedly become the most recognizable symbol of the city and sits amidst a nice rotonda on the sea, an excellent place to catch photos, some fresh evening air and an aperitivo during hot summer nights. Much photographed by tourists, it stars as "Tomato's Ball" (Pomodoro, the artist's surname, is the name of the vegetable) on some very hard to find old postcards.
  • Niente di che
  • The location at the seashore is very nice - but as a sculpture, it not a very memorable object.
  • Very impressive monument, if you want to appreciate it ... go there in low season or winter full. In the summer, sometimes turns into a cafonata village fair with Hamed's stand. that ruin the poem. When spikes of cafonaggine wanes. You can admire the sculpture with the backdrop of the sea.

  • If understood in Pesaro around the promenade, passing through il moletto and tomato Ball is a must. The area has been recently renovated, putting the emphasis on the ball, the cliffs and the jetty. There are several seafood restaurants in the area where the Council a stop for dinner, when you can enjoy a magnificent sunset over the sea.
