  • worth the walk, nice old church interesting and pretty also a quiet place to rest with a nice garden  more »
  • Round-shaped Church, built on one of the sights of Perugia in the 5th or 6th century AD, taking advantage of an earlier Roman temple of the Imperial age. There is a series of columns that have been incorporated into the present structure and austere, severe damage to the Temple in simplicity, a timeless atmosphere. Noble signs, crypts and tombs they give it a special charm, similar to Roman churches contemporary. There are some beautiful frescoes and descriptive of the medieval period costumes. A beautiful Avenue appreciated the Temple from the outside and if you can imagine the temple without buildings and without walls that surround you realize even the size and architectural uniqueness.

  • 11/4 walk from the square, about 15 minutes away. Scenery round church and the front lawn comes into view on the road ahead. Inside, in the heart of rustic pulpit is located and, although not luxurious feel of history.

  • Impressive old temple. Not a common experience to explore a room me Christian temple from the old old times. Particularly peaceful...
  • A quiet respite on the edge of the city walls. Take a moment to feel the cool inside or on the benches under the trees.
  • Stunning round church. Inside is just as spectacular. Well worth a visit
  • Located at the end of Corso Garibaldi, the Church of San Michele Arcangelo, called Temple of Sant'Angelo by Perugia, is one of the oldest churches in Perugia. Of the early Christian period, and circular, probably lies on a pre-existing pagan temple. The Church, beautiful and often used for ceremonies, is surrounded by a beautiful little meadow to rest and get some fresh and is in 2 steps from the cassero di Porta Sant'Angelo, houses the Museum of the city walls and from which you can enjoy a wonderful view of the entire city.

  • Not the usual churches but this is really pretty, is connected to a garden at the tower that takes you outside the city walls.
