Where to stay in Perugia

For a view over the city's rooftops, book your stay at a hotel in one of the old town's heritage-rich hotels. Within walking distance from Perugia's main tourist sites, centrally located hotels offer complimentary parking, free Wi-Fi, and quick access to fine shops and restaurants. If all you need is a quiet room and a warm meal, explore the private inns and hostels on the edge of the city. Many Umbrian farmhouses, surrounded by olive groves and ancient vineyards, also offer good-value rooms just a short drive from the city.

  • A jewel in the 3rd century BC was reborn in new splendour after recent renovations. A must see, only. Made by the Etruscans and restored later by Octavian Augustus in 40 BC, the first Roman Emperor, who had cut the word "Augusta Perusia" overlooking the bow, after the conquest of the city, occurred after seven long months of siege.
