  • A place of meditation and silence where you can enjoy the silence and beauty of a landscape that borders on all the hills and the Ionian coast. The hermit's Cave which is accessed by a steep staircase is a church, which is the ceiling of the same cave. You can still see fragments of frescoes by Byzantine and 16th centuries that decorated the Mystic ravine. Lovely place, a bit long to drive but offering a great spiritual beauty.

  • It is reached by descending a long staircase (62 steps) carved into the stone. In the Sanctuary are located, in addition to the statue of the Madonna, paintings with the virgin birth, the Trinity, the adoration of the shepherds. Of particular interest is the fragment of a fresco of Byzantine art, depicting Saint Mary of Egypt receiving the Eucharist by Zosimus. The fresco of the 10th-11th century, because of the special characteristic of casual flicks of the hair of the Holy; depicting a Saint instead of a Saint, suggests that there has been for some time a female hermitages. Inside the cave there are representations of the Trinity, Christ, Archangel Michael and piety.
