  • Wander around, the city is the best way to see Pavia, a medieval town, of ancient times. The Church of Santa Maria del Carmine, built between 1360 and 1380, concluded towards the end of the fifteenth century. The Carmellinati, there resided until 1799, when it had to abandon due to the Napoleonic invasion. It was then erected the parish, which was entrusted to the Diocesan clergy.

  • Unlike most Italian churches which are always closed, this beautiful church is often open. There are even useful indications for the faithful who almost always absent (i.e. schedules of confessions) and altar after altar, ancona after ancona and fresco after has been well restored. An example for the management of many churches, basilicas in cathedrals ... It won't be the most important Church of Pavia (as St. Michael or St Peter) but it is certainly a visit ... Congratulations.

  • represents one of the most beautiful churches in the city and for the Lombard Gothic architecture/for both important Marian blades kept inside, surrounded by no less precious frescoes, very characteristic piazza that hosts should not miss
