  • We regret but our review will be very negative. Absolute misinformation, because after telephone contact to request confirmation of the Sunday opening and absolutely confirmed by the other end of the phone. We arrived on site, and after facing the ladder with strollers (and flying over the dirt) surprise the castle was closed.

  • I guess here people do not give much importance to what's left of their history as this castle was closed together with another chiesa in the vicinity. although from the outside it looked great and on...  more »
  • The Castle built by Roger the Norman in 1073 was rebuilt in the fourteenth century and subjected twice to restorations in the twentieth century. The mole is built of lava stone and cubic is broken you side with mullioned Windows that illuminate the weapons room on the first floor and a gallery on the second floor.

  • The Castle from the outside is fascinating, as in I've visited. The external perimeter area however is a mess, missing manhole covers, lids and numerous cracks on the ground ... careful not to break any leg.

  • Is beautiful and offers a 360-degree panorama from Mount Etna to the sea. Also is very nice inside, but to visit you need to call and make a reservation.

  • Simply unique! Deserves better luck and a larger number of visitors, because it contains within it historical and architectural elements of no small importance. The view of Mount Etna and the Simeto is breathtaking, the frescoes in the chapel of St. John are magnificent, but it is all context to make it unique.

  • Closed for refurbishment of the show for months. You can only explore outside.
