  • Symbol of the city of Orvieto, built in 1072 by Count Roger, the Dungeon in question is located on the Hill of the city's history, where you can admire the nearby and equally beautiful church of Santa Maria from above. Pity though, that the artistic and cultural heritage is made usable, to tourists and to citizenship, only to spot, and that, unfortunately, there is no necessary attention, relating to the protection and the preservation of goods that represent and illustrate the history and origins of the attractions. Having regard to its historical importance and its beauty, surely deserves more.

  • The Castle from the outside is fascinating, as in I've visited. The external perimeter area however is a mess, missing manhole covers, lids and numerous cracks on the ground ... careful not to break any leg.

  • Is beautiful and offers a 360-degree panorama from Mount Etna to the sea. Also is very nice inside, but to visit you need to call and make a reservation.

  • Simply unique! Deserves better luck and a larger number of visitors, because it contains within it historical and architectural elements of no small importance. The view of Mount Etna and the Simeto is breathtaking, the frescoes in the chapel of St. John are magnificent, but it is all context to make it unique.

  • Closed for refurbishment of the show for months. You can only explore outside.
