  • The art gallery is located inside the palazzo della pilotta. Not very extensive but certainly full of important works. You log on with one ticket that gives you access to the Farnese theatre and the archaeological museum

  • Not huge, but definitely to be considered among the most important galleries in Italy, where you will find several masterpieces such as the Turkish slave of Parmigianino, Madonna della Scodella and the Madonna of Saint Jerome of Correggio, the portrait of Erasmus of Rotterdam, la Scapigliata, Leonardo Da vinci, just to mention the most famous, as well as other paintings that cover the period from the 13th to the 19th century. 10 euro ticket (which rises to 12 in case of impromptu exhibitions) also includes the entrance to the majestic Teatro Farnese and the archaeological museum; from 14.00 you pay half, but beware that not all rooms can be visited in the afternoon (looks for a personal issue), for example, won't be able to see the portrait of Erasmus of Rotterdam. I also wish that the date of my visit (November 12, 2016) la Scapigliata of l. Da Vinci was absent because you paid to France: expected return after 11/15/2016.

  • This museum was a surprise. Located inside the Palazzo della Pilotta, is full of great works, great. Really a shame that there isn't an audio guide available. The labels that indicate the works are often poorly lit and covered with dust. It would take totem or panels that illustrate the exhibits. Details perhaps, but that would make it more complete.

  • Nicely restored building, but the artworks on display are of pretty low quality, and the price (10 euro pp) is relatively high.
  • Beautiful paintings This also houses a library, and reference library.
  • Small beautiful gem of a museum. In a few theaters have focused a colourful multitude of artworks, ranging from early Middle Ages to the late ' 800. In addition the rooms devoted to Parmigianino e Correggio, with the Turkish slave, perfect symbol of a small town like Parma. Also worth mentioning the statue by Canova. For proper takes at least 120/150 minutes visit. @gargio76

  • Pilotta Palace is part of the package. Advice on ticket 10 € which includes visiting the farnese theatre and the archaeological museum. The Gallery of course is beautiful, then depends a lot from artists that hosts at the time. I was fortunate with Parmigianino e Correggio. The only drawback are the visiting hours, reduced by Sunday, compared to the rest of the week. It's a bit of a contradiction since I often exploit their Sundays for trips outside the city.

  • A lot of TLC in the lighting would be necessary: sometimes the titles of works sono.in shadow and difficult to read. There is a possibility to have an audio guide
