  • Last Sunday, I was in the basement Mueggen and Mr. Salvatore had the foresight to show me his aging wines environments, with complete satisfaction of what has succeeded in creating. Finished the round, sent me at their tasting room, located not far from here, just follow the signs "Mueggen-the island within an island", the road to get there climbs on a hill that juts out on a plain, only covered with vine trees as far as the eye and the Damusso where you make the taste is very nice , with a large patio that gives the feeling of being immersed in this corner of paradise. I received from Clare, the daughter of Salvatore, which, with obvious professionalism, describes the products that are served by transforming verbally what is savoured in an exalted emotion, visceral, one might want to stop time, to dilate these moments. Its hospitality and kindness are the corollary to the flavors and odors warned in those samples. Sit in this place and make a path of gradual tastings from wines to moscati/dessert wines is a necessary step for Self-love, a real gift to yourself. The quality and goodness made stops in this company.

  • As often happens in Pantelleria, every pleasure is an achievement. In fact, after staying perched between streets and trails surrounded by endless rows of vines like small trees, you get ... home of Salvatore. Noteworthy is that beside the House/restaurant you can visit an original Bush garden complete with huge tree inside and tiny little door access. Great! The first time we had been to a wine tasting "vertically" of their wines, then decided to go back for dinner ... and it was a winning decision!. At night the atmosphere is magical, you dine on the terrace (wind permitting) pretty much by candlelight, bathed in a total darkness with sky dotted with stars. Food typically pantesco "poor" simply delicious, illustrated by Clare which is the soul of it all. Apotheosis is reached when tasting their sweet aged 24 years created, that can be enjoyed by climbing on the roof of the dammuso lying on cushions to observe the sky. What can I say: it doesn't get more magical. This alone is worth the trip on Pantelleria.

  • Recommend tasting it for 15 € up to six glasses of fine wines accompanied by snacks and superb product oil from them. Dinner however was disappointing and with prices a little too pretentious.
