  • Spectacular place in its uniqueness. Surrounded by a beautiful nature in a surreal environment. A beautiful route

  • We are avid walkers and Pantalica offers a close to 4 hour walk, climbing up and down the river. This is not a walk in the parc, be sure you have good shoes and walk wear. You need water and food and ...  more »
  • The legendary film was shot partly in Matmata in Tunisia but the Visual effect could be similar to Pantalica, where if it is true that there is a desert on the other side the nature here has not spared at all. History (of that old, but very old) of people who had found here more than three and a half thousand years ago a great place to live and where to bury their dead. Landscape, like few in the world (Hey, it is a Unesco World Heritage site). Environment and nature as those with capital letters (the inside a deep fluvial incision--a kind of canyon-preserved plant and animal species by creating a kind of "niche". Peace and relaxation. Worth it.

  • Beautiful canyon, but it is not so easy to find - the way it is poorly signposted. Outside the main tourist season you can be completely yourself :-) In the canyon there is no drinking water and no refreshments. Swimming is prohibited - but no one checked. The canyon closes in the evening, but if you continue, easy to get out. Necropolis is about 2 km from the entrance to the canyon, the path to it is marked. It's a really interesting place and well worth it.
  • Not only is this an amazing collection of rock cut tombs, but also a beautiful gorge ideal for hiking and swimming in the crystal clear wster. And if you like caves, there is an enormous one of them too.
  • Reviewer "Giuseppe Poeta" is an imbecile; complaining about the geography of the site having "dangerous paths" and "fire hazards". It's not unlike any other natural terrain where you may have to put forth a small amount of effort to explore. This place is beautiful , monumental, epic and unforgettable. AND very "walk" friendly.
  • So many great vista and a beautiful place o spend the day hiking.
  • Great vista
