  • As we were in Palermo decided to go and watch Palermo play in Serie B, we thought it would be easy to just turn up and buy a ticket an hour before kick off but despite the fact the ground only had abo...  more »
  • World Stadium (Italy ' 90), excellent place in the immense parco della Favorita with the background on the world's most beautiful promontory (Montepellegrino). Decent capacity (37,000); away fans in norma (2,500). The entire Stadium has seats with back, 2 big colored Led screens, sound/light Equipment ok. Magical atmosphere because of its proximity to the field and the stands. Stadium for football, although some "past" just holds up well! 3-star UEFA Certificate System (can accommodate the national team, and the Champions league). Perfect turf! Negatives (bathe at the limit of decency, stage 3/4 turned out, when it rains water gets a little everything; car parks be improved)

  • When I was in Palermo I went to a US Palermo match. Tickets were as cheap as seven euros! Still, the stadium was quite empty, which was a pity. The stadium is a typical older Italian one: not too flas...  more »
  • Nice stadium, beautiful location next to monte pellegrino and la favorita. Worth a trip for a match when in the town. Big problem is to get one game ticket. There is no ticket office open just before game! I think office at stadium is open in the morning, bit im getting tickets in official agents, like boot shop in conca d'oro shopping centre (tickets 10e-30e), you need to be in person and have passport if non italian to buy one. No parking in area, and all blocked when there is a game, much better to come by bus. The best tickets are in corners (cheapest) where real supporters seat. Much better are south parts of stadium because in north parts you have sun in your eyes or very hot end of spring. Enjoy italian game! :-)
  • Stadium itself maybe is quite cool and very impressive but it gets two stars for lack of ticket office where you can buy a ticket before the game as on every normal stadium... it's quite a problem when match takes place at 3pm when nearby points when you can get a ticket (few hundred meters away) are having a break for siesta and open again during the second half. This makes no sense at all!
  • Awesome atmosphere! Palermo was last in the rankings playing a team in the middle of the table and the stadium was still about 70% full and the Ultras in the Zona Nord were going nuts the whole game. Definitely worth a trip if you are in town and enjoy a game. Warning they don't scan tickets at the gate so if you buy your tickets online be sure to print them before you go for he game showing on your phone won't work.
  • Great atmosphere nice stadium
  • Best sporting place
