Definitely worth the visit is situated above the Monte Pellegrino, above there are few cars I recommend having the last climb on foot in high season to avoid getting stuck.

Goethe, was referred to the shrine as: "through large sheets of brass and arabesques I saw under the altar shine some lamps; I knelt to spy through the openings. "Inside there was an object that looked as if it were wrapped in a veil: a beautiful young woman... the head and hands, white marble, were, I can't say that stylized, but very natural, almost seductive, to believe that you breathe". Santa Rosalía de Palermo, the Patron Saint. To visit and pilgrimage from 3 to 4 September.

the sanctuary doesnt offer much but if you do come here to the top, make sure you come prepared for a hike. The natural reserve has a great mountain bike trail which is also very nice for a hike by foot.

Doesnt look special on the outside, but the chapel in the rocks is so special and beautiful!

Awesome. Not much more to say.

This sanctuary is built into the rock, which makes it a very special place of prayer.
  • April 6, 2016
The sanctuary mainly resounds with the local religious community. Others could do well without visiting. The sanctuary is very plain, the view isn't spectacular, the religious paraphernalia can be obtained elsewhere and the same holds for the Godfather souvenirs.
