  • Discover this gem a bit away from the usual tourist circuit was exciting. Magnificent ancient structure of a Norman Church, surrounded by an enchanted garden of flowering plants and lush with beautiful and complete Colonnade of the cloister of the monastery, now non-existent. Place full of atmosphere, you can't miss it.

  • The scent of flowers in the garden is worth a visit. The Church itself is pretty bare but the little garden that surrounds it is very beautiful, inspiring and, above all, highly fragrant flowers. Let us stop along the way.

  • San Giovanni degli Eremiti is considered one of the landmarks of Palermo, with its red cupolas, but could use a new coat of paint, since I'm somewhat discoloured. The neighbouring church and monastery were built at the behest of Ruggero II between 1132 and 1148. The building is a mixture of Eastern and Western culture.

  • It was a very scary ruin . Nothing inside the church just empty walls. Like a cave. €6 to enter is a waste
  • Beautiful garden! The ticket is a bit over priced considering the non existing touristic services... Not even a short description in English.
  • Enchanting place in romantic style where different cultures are mixed together in a unique relaxing atmosphere
  • It's among the most interesting church in Palermo from the architectural point of view
  • A bit of peace and stillness
