Palazzo Conte Federico, Palermo

4.8
A Palermo landmark and a supremely luxurious residence, Palazzo Conte Federico provides insight into life as a European aristocrat. The Hohenstaufen-descended count or his multi-talented wife will take you on a tour of their home (also a bed and breakfast), where you can glimpse fine decorations from around the world. Inspect a wealth of interesting artifacts, including antique armchairs, religious frescoes, and suits of armor. If you're lucky, the Countess may even treat you to a performance in the concert hall, where the impressive piano was once used by Wagner. The Palazzo Conte Frederico is a historical Palace in privately owned, built on the former city wall. The rooms are filled with antique furniture, weapons, cars and many other original exhibits. The unique history of this place perfectly summarizes the different cultures of the city. The guide is possible as far as I know in the national language as well as German, Spanish and Portuguese. The occupants of this personally through the premises. As a result, that each guide is absolutely individual. A place which is worth a visit in any case!

お勧めです! very beautiful palace in the heart of Palermo, transmitted from generation to generation. The owners, the CONTE FEDERICO family are very involved in the conservation of their heritage that they visit themselves. Very nice visit commented in Italian, English, French. See absolutely! The visit is made by the owner, the descendant of Frederick County. The Palace is superb, well restored, and the stories are exciting. Do not miss.

  • Entering the House of count Frederick equates to do a small journey through time that seems to stand still, entering the inner courtyard and stunning lounges arranged around it. Is a rare example of House-Museum, complete with a Norman Tower (the last of the old town that's still intact) where you live and there is so much, so much story to re-discover. I recommend a visit to anyone interested to see Palermo from insider and understand beauty and contradictions. Thanks for the sincere welcome!
