  • One of the speakers is one of the most beautiful of Palermo that master sculptor Serpotta has operated. The oratory is located downtown, near the market Vucciria-Piazza San Domenico. On the altar there is the Madonna del Rosario commissioned the famous painter Anthony Van Dyck. In this very special and oratory that the Serpotta introduces allegories, typical of Rococo, i.e. upper-class ladies according to fashion and the taste of the time. Entering and looking at the wall on the right, you can see that one of the ladies there is a small lizard, and from here we can understand through the audioguide which is none other than the signature of the master Serpotta, inspired by his surname where the Sicilian dialect is "serpuzza". Wonderful gem to behold. I recommend it for all lovers of architecture and beyond.

  • In this Chapel Giacomo Serpotta tries to give his figures of the virtues a robe of real statues should be treated as single entities not only confused in iperdecorazione. Nice and bright environment inspires serenity and peace.
