After that for several years have affected the whole neighborhood, the area has rebounded and was returned to citizens and tourists. Beautiful, beautiful promenade locals that have sprung up in support, there is a picturesque sunset seen from there: worth going there, finally.

In praise of degradation concentrated along the entire marina: the whole of the first part (the former College of orphans) is full of prostitutes, advancing a slew of valets abusive warn "you gotta pay!" And having young children obviously fear there's also by managing the area in groups. The promenade is completely dark, few and meager lights just past the lawn. The Palm trees are left very few and reaching the sea we found a kind of disco squatter mounted on a bicycle, perhaps the best thing about the whole visit, at least animated the place looks abandoned to itself! In front are worth noting: the bandbox once used orchestras (was the walk "outside the walls" of the Sicilian nobility), the statue dedicated to Vincenzo Florio, temporarily the chariot of Santa Rosalia and the "walls of bad" (they were intended for widows ' walk that dressing in black were called "poor"). Discouraged the visit in the evening, maybe during the day the situation is better. Along the way to get there you can admire the fresco dedicated to Falcone and Borsellino, originating in the Kalsa (neighborhood just behind the foro italico).

  • Very nice place to sit by the water. There's an actual park but the stones by the water or a lot more tranquil with nice views. Definitely a good place to rest if you are running around the city exploring.
  • Beautiful sea front. Also a safe place to leave your car for free overnight.
  • A very nice public park, facing the sea!
  • A nice place to stroll around and get away from the hectic pace of the City. Some good views from here.
  • Casual place to sit along the sea front. Green space with sun beds.
