  • A really beautiful church that is appreciated from the outside for monumentality. Inside are very attractive and interesting the numerous paintings of religious art. I was fortunate to enter it as it was going on a guided tour. I don't know the opening hours, but it is certainly usable freely at certain times. All opening times of monuments can be obtained at the Tourist Office of the municipality where I got so many tips and information.

  • I understand the importance of the building, not only from the central location in relation to other churches in the city, but by the presence of murano glass chandeliers. At least a dozen chandeliers adorn the aisles of the Church, symbolizing the great importance of the Saint for the local population. Aside from the chandeliers, the entire building bears witness to the importance of Saint Sebastian-the Saint against epidemics-for citizens of Palazzolo. The building has a Basilica which gives it a great solemnity, is decorated with gold and white stucco, the vault is frescoed magnificently. The only downsides: the façade. Impressive-thanks to entrance staircase-ceramic ionic columns and beautiful with cherubs and festoons and with two lions who have nothing of Baroque, but much of medieval, is dirty. A cleanup wouldn't hurt. So on 10 August, when Palazzolo celebrate Saint Sebastian risplenderebbe as never before.

  • A world heritage site, together with the Basilica of s. Paolo, this church is located in people's square, next to the Town Hall and is surrounded by ancient eighteenth century buildings with classic baroque balconies. Inside we found a guide who explained, not only the most important features of the Church, but also that we would have to visit in the afternoon and eat. He booked on our la Taverna di Bacco.
