The visit to the premises spontaneously suggested us once inside by a man speaking a little french. He showed us the great sacristy in walnut and the very beautiful barisue organ dating both of 300 years. Beautiful altar in polychrome marble (also one of the oldest of Sicily). The façade is also very beautiful. In short, a visit that is worth trying. This applies to all of the city where it is pleasant to walk: quiet and lovely place. Do not hesitate to come to stroll.

The Basilica, as fel rest the whole city was defined by Unesco. The Church overlooks Piazza del Popolo which is the heart of the town and sits on a massive staircase made built in the late 1800s. At the base of the church there are two marble Lions probably sculpted by diamonds is the architect of the complex. The Church is dedicated to Saint Sebastian and Saint Roch. The statue of Saint Sebastian was placed on the façade above the main entrance door. Inside aisles are noticed 12 Murano chandeliers, unusual for a place of worship. The marble high altar of Persia is embellished with a painting that depicts the martitio of the Saint. Remarkable polychromed wood Christ flanked by two marble statues of fine workmanship. On a side altar is a votive statue in paper that is carried in procession for the feast of August. The sacristy is a jewel of cabinetry with walnut furniture entirely local. To see for sure.
