Supported by stories of arches, the medieval town hall of Palazzo della Ragione contains one of the largest roofs unsupported by columns in Europe. Finished in 1219, the building contains 333 panels and three tiers of frescoes. The building also contains the Stone of Shame, where debtors were made to stand in their underwear and hit their bottom three times. There's also a wooden horse statue carved by Annibale Capodilista to be used in jousts. After admiring the impressive building and its art, visit several floors of food stalls within, as well as the food markets flanking the building outside. • It is one of the most beautiful buildings and characteristic of the city, overlooking two squares filled with bars and clubs. The Interior, full and frescoed, hosts exhibitions, conferences, in addition to the famous equine statue and "Foucault's pendulum". In a part of the lower arcade is an interesting market, a must for locals and curious.
