  • Take your time, and be sure to visit the small ancient Church 11-12 centuries-Oratorio di San Michele a Pozzoveggiani. It is located at the southern entrance to the city. Early Christian frescoes have been preserved in the Church. It is distinguished by strict asceticism and performed in Romanesque style

  • I don't think those coming to Padua to take tourism generally consider the Oratory of San Michele in Pozzoveggiani, either because it is very little known to non-residents, both because it is located in an area well away from the town, geographically and sociograficamente. Intrigued by some TripAdvisor reviews, finding myself in Padua I decided to devote a few hours learning about this church: building a simple Romanesque style, is very simple but impressive both inside and out; visit offers the opportunity to make pleasant excursion on foot, moving away from the Center southbound and noting the gradual fade route from the city to the Veneto rural, up to be in a context light years away from the Padova tourism and University life. Unfortunately the last part of the path has no pavement and not easy to navigate on foot; anyway for those who did not have time and desire to walk is very easy to get 3, train station or bus from Prato della Valle.
