  • Padua's Scrovegni Chapel, Pedrocchi. Padua is getting lost in the streets and enjoy the city at clubs:-)

  • It is one of the most beautiful Italian historical centres, in this Christmas season with all the lights, festoons and stalls the atmosphere becomes warm despite temperatures a bit stiff. The atmosphere of past history, from Roman times to the middle ages to the nineteenth century, the guests can visit the various squares that are followed as piazza Duomo, Capitaniato, dei Signori with the clock tower, herbs and fruit with its fruit and vegetable market and the historic businesses under the great salons and the Palazzo della Ragione with the periodic exhibitions inside. A short distance from the University (Palazzo del Bò), the Town Hall (Palazzo Moroni), from the abovementioned squares including Piazza Garibaldi, there is the elegant eighteenth-century Caffè Pedrocchi open day and night from 1916 and therefore also known as the "coffee shop without doors" with its revenues protected by stone lions sculpted by Petrelli, which mimic those of basalt that adorn the cordonata del Campidoglio in Rome and that for over a century has been a prestigious meeting attended by intellectuals , students, academics and politicians. This is kind of the heart of the historic centre but the same still offers so much to see and we will mention just some sites interessanti.....il Teatro Verdi near Piazza Capitaniato, the Porte Contarine and across the grounds of the Arena where there are the remains of the Roman Arena and the famous Scrovegni Chapel where Giotto gave life to the best of his art Prato della Valle, whose current configuration dates from the late 18th century and is characterized by an elliptical central island, called isola Memmia, surrounded by a channel (powered by the Alicorno channel) on whose banks lies a double ring of statues, is one of the largest in Europe, on the edge there is the Basilica of Santa Giustina where there are preserved the remains of San Luca and San Prosdocimo Santa also kept on their coffins and the the remains of the martyrs of the Roman persecution, not far away there is the Basilica of Saint Anthony, patron saint of Padua, half of millions of tourists and believers from all over the world. These are the essential and unmissable sites to visit but there are many others that I haven't mentioned. To you the joy of discovery.
