#1 of 30 in Nightlife in Padua
Take part in a Padua institution by sipping a prosecco at Caffe Pedrocchi. Since 1831, the region's intellectuals and commoners have stopped here for conversation and coffee. • A triumph for the eyes and the palate! In the setting of the historic centre of Padua, is the perfect place to stop for a moment to stop over in regenerative an elegant place that made history and enjoy an Italian excellence. The specialty is the Pedrocchi Café: a perfect balance between intense and hot coffee and fresh and light mint, joined by a sweet chocolate.

  • Caffè pedrocchi is to try if you happen to Padova, very special! We were skeptical at first about the pairing of mint and coffee also because nn Mint lovers but we looked back at the first SIP! We tasted the cake with Amaretto and peach and zabaglione stendhal, yummy too!

  • Knowing coming to Padua for a short break I had done a search on a historic café to visit: for this reason we came in "coffee shop without doors that don't lock ever." Its structure is impressive and well worth a visit. Peppermint coffee, specialty of the House, it turned out very good and I recommend everyone to taste it in a setting that sends you back in time.

  • A very charming cafe in the centre of Padua, with a long history to it! This place should definitely be part of everybody's must visit list, when they come to this city! There are various rooms, one of which - the Green Room - is freely accessible to everyone without having to order anything at the bar. There are other more elegant rooms on the inside! Looking at the main entrance to the right there are some stairs that lead to an upper floor where there are more rooms decorated according to different tastes: for instance an Egyptian room, a Renaissant room and more! There is also a terrace with view on on the surrounding buildings and a nearby square!
  • Here is our review. Zero nul points. Sat for 15 mins .table not cleared. Most arrogant waiters in world. They look straight thro you....Disgusted. A complete shambles. They only appaterently cater to the schi schi
  • Tried the pedrocchi coffee which was really good. The tiramisu was fabulous too. A little on the expensive side though.
  • So goes the local saying: "Padova, the city of the three withouts: A café without doors, a valley without grass, a saint without name". Caffe' Pedrocchi is precisely the café we are talking about, so quintessential it is to the local flavor. In fact, so I've heard, back in the day the Pedrocchi used to have no doors at all (the "valley" would be Prato della Valle, the largest square in Europe that come to think of does indeed have greenery, and the said saint would be sant' Antonio da Padova whom locals insist to call just "el Santo", like there is no other saint they could be referring to). There has been a long standing superstition surrounding Caffe' Pedrocchi that states no student from the University of Padova should ever go through it's entrance: he or she might never graduate. Thankfully I'm not a student, what allows me to enjoy what I consider the best caffe all orzo in town without any worries. Beautiful ambiance that doesn't seem to have changed much since it was opened in the early 1800's, service can be a hit or miss depending on the waiter on shift... do not miss Pedrocchi or you might as well have never been to Padova.
  • A must visit. Elegant, with cosy old school feeling, comfortable furniture. The staff was kind and looked professional. Well there was small problem in communication as our waiter was not speaking good English, but they found person from the team that was and we solved our needs quicks. The coffee shop has many entrances. One if them is taking you to a stand up bar where is possible to have quick coffee and desserts. If you are not in a rush, go to the inner rooms and take a rest in comfy atmosphere. Try the specialities - Pedrochi Cafe and Cake!!! They include minty taste and if you don't mind that, the combination is awesome! Ask about thr history of the shop.
