See Donatello's famous equestrian statue of Erasmo da Narni, considered one of the greatest examples of Italian Renaissance sculpture, at Basilica of St. Anthony. In the historic city of Padua, the church hosts thousands of visitors each year who come to pray at the tomb of St. Anthony or to admire the 15th-century artwork and decor. The church combines Byzantine, Romanesque, and Gothic architecture. Wander the interior to see the grand marble reliefs and frescoes on the church walls. Masses are held frequently at this popular pilgrimage site, so you can attend a service if you like. It's a large church with a strong emphasis on the cult of St. Anthony (of course). Yet, there is much more than that It's worth taking some time and explore the various pieces of art
