  • A visit to this beautiful Basilica is definitely worth it. Beautiful church interior. It is recommended that you have a guide with descriptions of both exterior and Interior. Disclosures in the Basilica shoot namely deficit.

  • This is the case when passing by and not knowing what kind of building many pass by, thinking that it's something unattractively-uninteresting, but don't rush to conclusions, do not be lazy and go inside, the walls will see the image of the Virgin with child and you can simply keep their mouths shut and to touch the Divine.

  • the scoletta is placed on the right of the entrance to the basilica dei Carmini. Seat of a confraternity with devotional and charitable purposes, in a district that since the Middle Ages was characterized by many mills concentrated on the nearby porta di ponte Molino, tanneries. The current scoletta late 400 's and is completely frescoed by a loop to more hands concerning the life of Mary and arising from incidents mentioned in apocryphal Gospels (declared as such after the Council of Trent). Rectangular in shape, with altar redone in mid-18th century. The frescoes are far more valuable in my opinion those of the wall left of the altar, by Giulio Campagnolo. It is a pity that such a Renaissance jewel is little known to p because, thanks to Touring Club just a few days a week.
