  • Not all evil comes to harm: from a sickly man unable to work hard in the fields, from a disease of compulsive hoarding can be born a farmhouse of the bassa parmense full of all objects which were utensils of everyday production up to the years ' 50. Tools often self made, invented, retrofitted, recycled to meet the operational need from the craftsman, the housewife in the kitchen. Ditto for toys, for musical instruments. He realizes that material poverty is not intellectual poverty, far from it. But here it's not like in an ethnographic museum where you find for each object 3/5 examples, here there are hundred and hundred ... each with its specific needs, nothing is superfluous or redundant. For himself, for his material life Gauthier has reserved little: a monastic room with bed phone and 2 typewriters. Basta. In addition means affectionate friendship and stimulating local intellectuals (Bertolucci ...) Happy in his farmhouse accommodation and congratulations to our guide Virgil on this tour.

  • When you walk into this museum is the General view that excites you; after they are details that give even more value, because they are objects that normally the "value" is not given, while here, creating a spell that will enchant your eyes and gaze retrieves wherever it settles to tell you that the ordinary is extraordinary!

  • The Guatelli Museum is a unique experience not only in Italian but in the world. Ettore Guatelli created a space inside the farm where he lived with his brothers, unique and unrepeatable. A space made of everyday objects arranged and displayed as a series of installations of contemporary art: a Louvre of everyday objects: great!

  • This is really a magical place. Over 60k items collected from the countryside hanging all over the walls: farmer's tools, old kitchen tools, wood games, shoes and everything you can imagine. Simply incredible
  • A lovely Museum, charming and unique in the world. If I had to pick the song titles to describe it, I would definitely: "One Vision" by Queen (for the extraordinary vision of Ettore Guatelli), "Beautiful Day" by U2 (because you pass a gorgeous day to admire this place) and "Paradise" by Coldplay (because it gives very strong sensations).
