  • I booked by telephone an umbrella in this and a female voice, not exactly young, gave me confirmation. Once there, definitely in a spectacular setting, because it takes little to Otranto, not even the shadow of my reservation. The Lady with whom I had spoken by phone, I assume the owner, has an approach to find a solution and the lifeguard, also quite rude, in confirm that there was no room, I turns his back and walks away. However, I understand that in August there is much chaos, but garbo, education and customer appetite, make an exercise, the preconditions for a while average rating. In such case the rudeness and lack of will to find an accommodation, make this beach a place to avoid. Among other things, despite not having asked directions of price, I absolutely preposterous tariffs were represented. I mean, intornio there are other shores, much more welcoming and the staff most helpful, especially the sea of Otranto is beautiful anyway.

  • Small bathhouse where service quality, inadequate staff and furnishings in the media do not justify the high price (more than double compared to other beaches equipped sibling) little space between umbrellas with front row that He's half in the water. Nice area with tables where you can eat lunch although the menu is really limited.

  • Call it ' noble ' because the place stands out for its excellence. Not far (about 1 km) from the old town and the famous Byzantine Cathedral, the Lido La Castellana is located in the North of Otranto in a Cove by the indescribable beauty: white sand and blue sea surrounded by dolci's natural rock. Adjacent to the Lido there is a parking lot, guarded (in peak season costs 5 euros for the whole day). Legend has it that the heroine of Otranto, Idrusa, loved to spend in this Bay whole days to contemplate the waves of the sea. It is not hard to believe ... The natural environment, today, lives with all the needs of a tourist resort and offers facilities and services to suit guests who want to enjoy a day of relaxation. The fixed distance between the umbrellas is the first thing that catches your eye; Finally a place where privacy is really guaranteed! Sides numerous cabins-locker room, clean and always available. The dining area looks like a typical garden, covered by a Pergola of vines that provides shade and ventilation, how do you say ' eat ' al fresco '. Beach service, bar and restaurant is very professional. Great food, combining the quality of the raw material, selected, and the creativity of the young chef, capable of enhancing the traditional flavours of the local cuisine. Mainly based on fresh fish and vegetables of the territory. The furniture is refined and reduced to the essentials, does not give space to unnecessary decorations; the color of umbrellas, deck chairs, is unique: the white, as if to disappear and leave nature as the only undisputed. And the colors of nature change, throughout the day, from dawn until dusk, making the environment is always different, but always beautiful. A true paradise!

  • Quiet remote and selective lido, a bit pricey
  • Lido very cute, divided into two parts, a larger and more expensive than the other smaller and cheaper. Both overlook a beautiful Bay and Otranto sea bad there is not. Has nice showers don't surcharge which is rare here in Puglia, a beautiful meadow where the shade of the trees you can enjoy a substantial breeze. Parking area (€5 all day) what should not be underestimated. I loved the peacefulness of this shore, then recommended for couples or families with older kids in my opinion. Only downside maybe a poor organization. Otherwise very nice 😊

  • Beautiful place as others on the Salento coast, prices out from every possible direction (50€/35 € for 2 sunbeds and 1 beach umbrella) mainly because in part to a public beach. services but average price from 5stars extra luxury

  • Cost of 1 parasol and 2 sun loungers 50 Euro for a day even though the phone they told me 35 Euros the night before, zero services (only showers that worked only 1 at a time), vu SIAT who roamed freely between the sunbeds despite being a private beach and prices fools at the bar!
