  • Undoubtedly is one of the most extraordinary of the coast of Salento but, at least in August, it was too crowded, it was really hard to find some decent space to spread out our tarp! Luckily, the parking lot is very large and the path that leads through the pine forest, on the beach is short and suggestive.

  • You will come across a path, among the scents of herbs and pine trees, about half a kilometre in the place where, according to tradition, landed the Warriors during the Turkish siege of the city of Otranto from the 15th century (battle of Otranto); Sandy and pristine, the Bay belongs to valuable protected area of the Alimini Lakes, one of the most important ecosystems of Salento and Puglia. The blue-green sea is crystal clear and the beach, although not large, is long enough to allow an enjoyable walk. Definitely very crowded at peak times in summer, fails to hide, as indeed we already had noticed in an access trail, obvious signs of incivility and rudeness to the filth and garbage spread, left by hordes of invaders who don't think being Turkish.

  • There are no words to describe the feeling I had after covering a pine trail, in the Mediterranean, which connects the parking lot at the beach ... a show ... turquoise sea ... fine sand ... never seen such a beautiful place to take your breath away ... seems a place from another time ... maybe because there was the siege of Otranto by the Turks in 1480. Anyway, it's one of those places that makes you think that Italy is really a country to be discovered ...
