Categories: Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Inspirock Rating:
3.8/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web
Alimini Beach offers miles of sandy beaches with crystal blue water. Choose whether to visit a lido, which requires an entrance fee but includes many amenities, or spend your time on the public beaches, which are free. If you want to explore the beaches away from the lidos, bring a picnic and enjoy it on the soft sand. The water is calm and clear, which makes the beach an ideal place for snorkeling and swimming. At night there is also a good selection of bars and clubs. Plan your visit to Alimini Beach and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Otranto travel itinerary planner.

  • The alimini Lakes area for those who love the sand is definitely not to be missed, get there before crossing a long pine forest that leaves access to the sea at very high sand dunes, the sea-tale always crystal clear. Minus the too many establishments that obviously they spoil and disfigure an area that would otherwise be a paradise.

  • Very large fine sand beach, with several beaches, beautiful with a wonderful sea view. Don't get tricked into numerous stretches of black sand: it is not oil, but volcanic sediments coming from monte Vulture, an ancient active volcano in prehistoric times
