  • A charming cathedral both inside and out. Bella the crypt where lie the first martyrs of the area. The building closes at noon to reopen in the afternoon. We were lucky enough to see the adjacent Baptistery which was open at the time of a baptism. Very interesting paintings and frescoes inside

  • I wasn't aware that there was a much less that Leopard was the first Saint Bishop of the city. I knew, however, of the existence of the Cathedral in Osimo, but I could not imagine that it were so simple and beautiful. And misleading in the sense that I tried to get from what I thought was the main entrance (and then I found out that it was but in 1500!), that is, from three-arched side portico. In Roman-Gothic style Cathedral (not Baroque as ran told someone on TA) you enter from the courtyard. Needless to dwell on the history of this Cathedral originally built on the site of the Capitol or the time of Asclepius and Hygieia. The Internet offers everything and more (just the ad hoc site). The visitor can do is be silent to the outside and inside without losing absolutely the crypt. For me it is one of the hidden wonders of Italy.

  • When you are in the city of Osimo Cathedral deserves the Leopard in its distinctive Baroque style. Inside you can see the different stages of growth of the Cathedral, with extensions had over time, until you reach the Majesty of which today enjoys. There is also the Baptistery.
