  • All'altare rupestre di Santo Stefano you can experience the charm of a place that after thousands of years still has no answers some of its origin. The whole area is surrounded by Neolithic settlements which bear witness to the attendance since ancient times. Would always be simplistic to describe its features, your best bet is to go there in person and maybe contacting the person in decades has studied the site and accompanied thousands of visitors. Booking a visit with him you will also have the opportunity to visit the new Museum of Oschiri which is responsible. You can turn to for information, to Mr. P P tel. 3492793630

  • Archaeological site that is simplistic to define beautiful. If you don't have a guide is good to turn to local help. Is a site where there are traces of human presence from prehistory (Neolithic) until the Christian era, crossing all historical phases, though it looks difficult to date. Considerable interest in rock carvings in front of the Church of Santo Stefano. However, the site includes prehistoric monuments ranging from "Domus de Janas" the rocks that bear signs of adjustment for the symbolism of fertility in addition to other related to the cult of rebirth from death and water, in parts of bearing crosses, perhaps dating back to the late Imperial Roman and Byzantine period. Remarkable rock resembling a characteristic Sardinian Carnival mask. The Church of Santo Stefano, contained therein, may arise over the remains of a more ancient temple.

  • I noticed there are still smart people who love each other Sardinia. Now I am more optimistic about the future of the island.
