  • The privately run with bar and refreshment. You go down to the shaft that is impressive to see in all its tetricita and mystery. Short tour of a few minutes, but in any case is worth seeing, low cost.

  • Put this on your "to do" list while visiting Orvieto. The Etruscans have left behind lots for us to ponder and admire, and after walking around here and seeing the caves that they made, it will only enhance your sense of wonder of what took place so long before we popped in here for a holiday.

  • This quarry is handled by the Lord of the restaurant next door, then privately financed without any Government aid. Just take the tour you may already notice how to "coccetti broken" from centuries ago side by side the reconstructions (British Museum style). The site gives an overview of the charm of the greatness of the Etruscans and its reuse since the middle ages. In this regard, it is worth mentioning how the discovery (30 years ago) is filled with "top x", and for students of history and Anthropology (but not too), it isn't. Ah, all at 3 euro (2 If you have a ticket for pozzo di San Patrizio or funicular).
