  • t is an old church in the center square of the city. There is a sacred atmosphere in the interior. Tourists do not seem to have visited so much.  more »
  • Particular, beautiful in its incredible simplicity. A beam of sunshine makes it feel surreal.

  • The Church boasts an essential style and austere; in its Majesty invites to silence and meditation. Sit down to watch the powerful buttresses and towering trusses, you'll be amazed. Near the entrance door there is access to the excavations under the Church: THIS is a VISIT NOT to BE MISSED. A real throwback: Etruscans, Romans and even prehistory. The cost of the guided tour (5 euro) is laughable compared to the wealth of archaeological treasures preserved. Length of visit: 20/30 minutes. I note that in Orvieto is currently can visit the following dungeons:-those mentioned here-CDs. ' colombai '-the labyrinth. Are magical places not to be missed, that add luster to a city that should be visited not only to admire the beautiful duomo.

  • Nice church
  • Very old church of1200. Very unusual bell tower.
  • Beautiful.
  • The Sant'Andrea Orvieto is the oldest place of worship used already during the iron age and in Etruscan; in the 6th century early Christian Church. The present Romanesque appearance is largely due to extensions made since the year 1000 when it was set to a Basilica plan with three naves with transept and semicircular apse. Since 1926 has undergone some rather invasive restorations and discussed who massively concerned also the belfry turned into an unusual twelve-sided Tower (still pleasing to the eye). Very interesting the Interior and-most importantly-the dungeons with the vestiges of the first settlements.

  • I enjoyed it. I noticed that is frequented by both tourists and locals. Sometimes there are small local markets with local products. Neighbour municipality.
