  • The sanctuary of San Cosimo at large, five kilometers from the town of Oria (BR) was once one of the landmarks of religious tourism in the whole southern Italy. Since he closed the Zoo garden, though, has lost so much. Resist faith linked to pilgrimages, but there are no facilities to accommodate the pilgrims. Devotion to saints doctors is still strong but around the shrine only a market and nothing more. To visit the ethnographic museum and the votive offering room that-tell me-could soon be closed at the behest of the Curia. SOI would lose so another important piece of this area is no longer a popular destination for many people as it once was.

Did not leave us satisfied The external location with trees and parking, though well taken care of, it seems poorly suited to a sanctuary. We are not a tourist attraction. But in the holy place.
