  • Unfortunately it is not uncommon to find some amazing archaeological sites but little valued. But not enough to say that by charging more could cure better: we visited in late July and besides us there was only a German couple, despite the cost of 2 euros. We confirm the beauty excavations still continue, demonstrating professionalism, for us it is customized guidance, which looked after us in the Museum by giving valuable information and curiosity that took our little girl of 6 years. You have no excuse: go for it! The first step to enhance it. Let us not forget the exceptional panorama.

  • Situated on the Hill of Ansedonia (Orbetello), to get on the Aurelia exit Ansedonia then follow signs to the city of Cosa, a steep and narrow road leads on top of the Hill. Beautiful to see with Roman remains scattered everywhere (at the mercy of all), in addition to the numerous ruins of the city, everywhere on the ground are stones, roof tiles, fragments of ancient vases and hundreds of thousands of small artefacts scattered everywhere. Besides this there is a nice Museum with artifacts catalogued and out a beautiful stroll among the olive trees with breathtaking Argentario. The caretaker is very kind. Entrance only 2 euros and on some days is also free, what more could you ask for? the city of Cosa is a little known gem of Argentario, must see.

  • Incredible Roman settlement from 300 BC with amazing views on the sea. Find the access to the ancient water reservoir, quite an impressive vaulted space!
  • What colony is situated south of Orbetello (Etruscan), and was another thorn in the side with the colonization centuriata the borders of Albenga until Marta. The Roman soldiers were rewarded with lands expropriated by the Etruscans to the North of Vulci and in the fertile plain to Doganella, there are many plots referred Ghiaccioforte Assembly the colony of cliff rock alive by beautiful colors. The walls of What (Etruscan architecture), the domus, the olive trees, columns, and doli to and amphorae testify an intensive business, and so the Etruscans were served and hungry.

  • Suggestive and fascinating place. Friendly and welcoming people in the Museum. The visit to the autonomy of the ruins and excavations must be done with appropriate footwear.

  • A look at a past world, there are left only ruins of the ancient Roman city, these can be but an idea of the grandeur of this place. Thanks to the many olive trees, the site is alive and even slightly transfigured.
