  • Beautiful medieval complex whose origins can be traced back to the early years of the century. The order of the humiliati, XIII as fortified Grange in which they carried out farming and handicrafts, such as wool production and the production of felt. After the 1571, when the order was suppressed, the Abbey and the lands were given to Swiss boarding school, in turn suppressed in 1797 by Napoleon Bonaparte who donated them to the Ospedale Maggiore di Milano Ca ' Granda ", which is still the owner. In 2013, after years of neglect and various uses (in classrooms around the cloister I even followed some courses of SDA Bocconi), took over-in loan-the community of canons regular of Prémontré, order founded by Saint Norbert in the early 1100 and that follows the rule of Saint Augustine.

  • I got into it by chance while wandering in the countryside with the engine ... Carry some information about the history and future of the Abbey of Mirasole. A little more than two centuries the Abbey is owned by the Policlinico di Milano (1797 to assign it was Napoleon). The Abbey (Mirasole was sorta like Cascina-Abbey in the first half of the 13th century and was held by the order of the humiliati, suppressed at the end of 1500). Now thanks to a contract to lease the Foundation Development Ca ' Granda, after the resignation of Priory; the Abbey would become a place of welfare. The proposed project foresees that overall he become established three community that will manage for the next 30 years with social activities addressed in favour of the territory's families in conditions of social emergency. It is planned in the project also opening a coffee bar, a Carpenter, a factory and a cycle shop to market products produced in the Abbey. Personally I will to see what concretely will be realized ...

  • Very wide inner court and the buildings surrounding it, vintage has unfortunately remained low, the rest held up well. Very simple Church, restored to what little original that it was possible to save after using "civil". Back the only monastic community from 2013.
