  • Offida is famous for its steel bobbins and finally in 1998 opened a museum to admire this precious craft. In 5 rooms you can see ancient and modern pieces, and also two frames that belong to the Pinacoteca Museum: s. Lucia (Pietro Alemano, 1490) and the Allegoria Tre Regni (Simone De Magistris, 1589). Definitely worth a visit.

  • The Lace Museum illustrates the history of tombolo, technique born in Offida known worldwide. Exposes fine laces both religious and civil use. Ground floor is located the Museum of popular traditions where you can see the tools used in peasant society. Maybe here they ought to have some explaining to do since not all tools exposed can be known by all.

  • At one location are combined four exposures, the Lace Museum, the Museum of the country civilization, the archaeological exhibition and picture gallery. The name of the last is euphemistic purposes while it is interesting, in the basement, that consists of ethnographic various rooms devoted to crafts and activities of years gone by. A few more sign that explains the use of tools exposed wouldn't hurt and perhaps would be important before they lose memory. The Lace Museum could be made in bit more lively with videos that show of lace-makers at work otherwise seems a display of products. The archaeological exhibition is influenced by nineteenth-century setting. Definitely interesting, even the idea to collect the various exhibitions, but with significant areas for improvement.
