  • The Church of Santa Maria della Rocca was built on a small oratory-igrejinha placed inside the Longobard Castle of feudatario Longinus of Azzone. Around 1039 the Castle and adjoining structures were donated to the Abbey of Farfa monacos. The Church was subsumed by a larger building in 1330. The upper floor was built in the 16th century. Between the 18TH century the complex was modified and the annex demolished monastery. Due to the excessive rainfall in 1896 part of the frescoes were damaged. The latest modifications and restorations occurred in 1974 and 1986. In Romanesque-Gothic style, entirely of brick in sight and with pilastros on a travertine stone basamento. The outside the Church of Santa Maria della Rocca is attractive and imposing and when it enters the surprise is huge.

  • The Church is very simple, but very pretty. Worth a visit even for someone who is not religious. If you pay an amount in EUR ticket $3. Have a guide in Italian and English, from what I understand you don't have to make an appointment and not have pre-designed schedules. If you have any questions, ask and he tells the story. I went before the last earthquake of November in Offida. The city already had some parts are locked down because of the earthquake of August. I read that the Church had some spots affected and I don't know if it's open to the public now, but if it is, stop by there Offida. The ride is pretty cool.

  • Beautiful church of Offida built on an old Lombard Castle then donated to the Benedictine monks who built and painted. Very impressive is the crypt. You can get there by foot along the cross-country course. The entrance is free of charge but with € 6 you can take the cumulative ticket valid also for the Museum and theater.

  • Apart from the deluge after 15 minutes we were there, GORGEOUS Church! By the way I have been fortunate to find the crypt decked out in wedding and to visit it during rehearsals of the musicians and chorus ... That lit up with festive flowers and white candles. The bride and groom arrived in half an hour and definitely took all the water ... It remains a fabulous place!!

  • Very impressive! The Guide,-or rather, the ticket Lady ...-Although not required, was very kind: took care to show me-with great skill-all the wonders of the Church and, since we were in the period, and current events in the country.
