  • We arrived at this Museum, housed in the important complex of the Broletto, for your visit to this prestigious collection made up of hundreds of paintings and works of Italian artists of international renown. A collection started in the first decade of the ' 900 and that during the 1920s is also enriched by works of meaningful form ranging from the nineteenth century to the early twentieth century late romantic, intimate and reassuring. We could appreciate works coming practically from every region of Italy; by piemontese Antonio Fontanesi at lombardi Eugenio Gignous, Pompeo Mariani and Achille Formis, continuing with the Venetians Guglielmo Ciardi and Ettore Tito, then to the Tuscans Giovanni Fattori, Silvestro Lega, Telemaco Signorini, to the Neapolitans Filippo and Giuseppe Palizzi and conclude with the great artist of Barletta Giuseppe De Nittis. Quite a collection, begun in Lombard but now merely local or key is a Museum of national interest. Absolutely not to be missed!

  • To visit more than once. Only thing ... it would take more kindness in the people and make those poor paintings!

  • Are novarese and I visited the Gallery many times, because every time you visit, especially if accompanied by a guide, you can discover different routes, for authors, subjects, for historical period for Collections. One of the paths that most appealed to me, consisting of paintings and sculptures, is the representation of women, with their different shapes and expressions. It's worth visiting the gallery and revisit it to those who already had known. Every time you will be fascinated by something that had previously gone unnoticed. Good visit!
