  • Visited on a gray day a little charm that recalls "the name of the rose" is further accentuated. Church open all day, put into Italian and German. Impressive and perfectly preserved baroque interior of the Church. Stay a few minutes in silence in the chapel of the lumini deserted it was really surreal.

  • Not always travellers visiting the Alto Adige directed his steps towards this amazing, by unknown, monastery dedicated to a Pieta Alabaster appeared, halfway through the 16th, the German farmer Leonhard Wissensteiner ("white stone" in German, hence the Italian name of "Pietra Alba") and, apparently, healed of your disease. In gratitude raised a first oratorio (near to this place where lie the remains of Leonhard), that with time, the efforts of the Servites in Vicenza and the numerous donations from pilgrims, have become in this wonderful Baroque, nestled in a landscape of the most beautiful in the region. The building is impressive because it stands proud overlooking a small valley, surrounded by mountains blooms. If the day is sunny, the white of the stone will shine like a jewel on the green of meadows and conifers. The ascent way to the monastery, with its final steps, is magnificent (you can climb by car to the parking lot that is behind, where there are hotels, hostels and restaurants). The views from the top are equally splendid. The interior of the monastery hosts numerous votive offerings in wax that will take us in a few minutes to the ornate Chapel. Under everything, a crypt there is more intimate. This shrine not is the original, abolished in 1787, but a second building raised in 1836. Should be carry browser to arrive without problems by the winding roads of mountain to this haven of peace and silence.

  • the sanctuary is pretty big and is surrounded by greenery and nature. To arrive at the shrine you can also take a walk of about 10 km with a vertical drop of 1300mt the difficulty of the walk is not for seniors and people with difficulty, but I recommend it to anyone wanting to venture out and get in the game

  • Nice place. Too touristy now. Maybe we should go during the week and off season, instead of Sunday.
