  • If you find yourself near Noto, you cannot skip this step ... An ancient Roman villa with interesting mosaics almost intact ... which is also near pristine beaches!

  • The Villa Romana del Tellaro it can be considered a masterpiece of the fourth century after Christ. Accidentally discovered about 40 years ago, this is an area of about 20 square meters containing 4 rooms whose floors are made of colorful mosaics almost intact with geometric patterns. The mosaics, which resemble those of Piazza Armerina (Villa Romana del Casale) describe mostly hunting scenes and everyday life. Restored in the laboratories of the Superintendency of Syracuse were exposed to Known in the Church of san Domenico from July 2003 to January 2004. The villa del Tellaro is located in an old restored farmhouse just a few kilometers from Noto. Admission is free. It is considered an important site for lovers of Archeology.

  • Excellently restored roman mosaics and workshops after roman villa tour. Can also organise roman style meals. Prebooking essential.
  • Splendid Roman mosaics in a context of eighteenth-century masseria. Two times to blend.

  • Beautiful example of late Hellenistic Roman, a series of mosaics decoration formerly included in the arcades of the villa. If there was a minimum ticket could enhance more both the structure and the entrance road.

  • Gorgeous mosaics! Too bad it's not at all appreciated: little noticed, captions only in Italian although many visitors are foreigners. Of course free entrance
