  • If there is something which abounds in Noto, are the impressive facades of churches and palaces. This is incredible. Impacting their high arches and their perfect symmetry. They are eleven high arches ending in statues, with a central staircase in a semicircle that leads to the front door. It was designed by local architect Vincenzo Sinatra in the 17TH century, being a single-storey Palace at this time. The second date that it became the seat of the municipal Government of Noto was added around 1950. We had the illusion of visiting the most famous space of the Palace, the Hall of mirrors, but a matter of schedules prevented us to do so. From its steps have magnificent views of the Cathedral, located across the plaza. To enter you have to pay about 2 euros.

  • The only room open at Palazzo Ducezio is the Hall of mirrors, now used for civil marriages or presentation events. The particularity of this Oval Office is given by large mirrors, seats facing each other, creating a weird effect of reference images. The ceiling is decorated with Trompe L'Oeil technique.

  • Lovely
  • A room with two mirrors and some paintings, not worth 2 euros.
  • Interesting Sicilian baroque style building, nice inside with a curious effect of mirrors
