Explore Centro Storico di Noto, a World Heritage-listed town famous for its fine 18th-century buildings with Sicilian Baroque architecture. Marvel at the numerous churches, monasteries, and palaces. Climb to the top of one of the many church buildings, where you can look over the town and see how new buildings blend with the old. Only three chambers remain from the town's ancient days; one is noted by an inscription in the library at Noto to have belonged to the gymnasium, while the other two were shrines of heroes. • From the same access to the historic centre with the imposing Royal arch, Noto is a collection of churches, balconies and Baroque facades that transport us in time. Just walking or sitting down to enjoy a cup of coffee or eat something already justifies the trip. It is a must visit place.
