  • The crypt of the Abbey is very nice and big. The Diocesan Museum Benedictine is Hapy and works have great prominence, especially the pieces of the cross of Jesus and documents signed by Charlemagne. The Abbey is still closed for restoration after the earthquake in 2012

  • We visited the crypt and the Museum because the Abbey is under renovations due to earthquake. The Museum is magnificent, Hapy and voluntary tour guide who accompanied us is passionate and well prepared. The pieces collected in the Abbey are of great value (including the remains of San Silvestro) and well preserved. I highly recommend throne!

  • Unfortunately due to the earthquake, the Abbey is being restored and can be visited partly on entering the Museum, which leads to visit the beautiful crypt. Definitely worth visiting the Museum, given the presence of priceless works, including the Holy Cross of Jesus arrived from Constantinople and containing one of the world's largest known fragments of the wooden cross. Definitely worth seeing, in another room, the three codices of the monastic scriptorium. Special thanks to a volunteer that we found in the halls, which, with a lot of passion drove us while visiting letting us admire the works that we otherwise would not have considered.
