  • The Nola Cathedral was rebuilt in the early 20th century after a disastrous fire of 1861. The previous building, dating from the 14th century, there are only a few artifacts, the crypt and Chapel. In the current version the façade is preceded by a portico with five arches supported by marble columns and capitals in travertine. The Bell Tower, located next to the Church, was built in the 12th century and partly destroyed by an earthquake in 1805. The Interior has a Latin cross with three naves which are separated from each other by granite columns. On the ceiling of the nave there are the coats of arms of bishops who erected the new building. Inside you can admire a painting of some interest depicting the Apostles of San Felice artwork of Salvatore Postiglione.
