  • After being at the shrine was closed, and the Abbey in ristrurazzione was obliged to visit the place that brings to mind the prancing horse of Ferrari. You leave your car in the parking lot and descend on foot or on the road or path in the Woods, and you will come out being in front of a monument encased in wood, and obliged to sit in silence and meditation does not place sandwiches that can be eaten in the side area and benches available, and avoid using your cell phone as you stasse. The place and mantunuto in good condition but the same is not yet valued, and is just a tischioppo from main roads

  • The myth of Francesco Baracca survives intact over time, as the mystery of his sudden death, which took place on 19 June of 1918 on the slopes of Montello. He was the symbol of the prancing horse which was later used by Enzo Ferrari for its car. The site of the monument is not the real point where you went and crashed SPAD VII of Shack. But he chose the site because it was visible from a great distance as it offers unique landscape features. You wanted to just give the Ace of our aviation, considered a hero, a place worthy of him to preserve the memory. Today, unfortunately, not being very visited, except in any rituals occurrence, the site was engulfed by surrounding vegetation but can be visited and sincerely offers emotions. Easily accessible go visit it and visit the Montello a great war Museum in the open air, but little known by tourists.

  • Really exciting to see the monument to Francesco Baracca erected where the hero was shot down; and especially when you consider that the average life of a pilot in the first world war was a week! Silence and meditation.

  • Beautiful and elegant this monument dedicated to the fighter ace Francesco Baracca, struck near by enemy fire while flying over and mitragliava at low altitude, during the terrible battle of June 1918, called "the Solstice", the austro-Hungarian troops who tried to break through, with the capture of Montello, the Piave. Don't miss the prancing horse, its symbol, then her mother donated to Enzo Ferrari.

  • One of the stops on the montello to do during the day. It's amazing that this small Pacific monument is over to where crashed a hero of Italian aviation 100 years ago
