  • On the main street of Narni lies this Romanesque church, very small but of great charm. Without a proper façade is preceded by a nice porch and inside, divided into three naves by columns linked by arches lowered individually, keeps part of the decoration in fresco. The collection, even in the absence of great artistic episodes, is very impressive: one of many points of interest of this small and little known town in Umbria.

  • I got married in this church about 33 years ago, is very characteristic, typically medieval, like almost everything in Narni, I have some good memories and then brought luck to my wedding. worth visiting.

  • It is a Romanesque church was built at the end of the 1100 and its name is due to the fact of being on a slope. It is believed that its construction took place on a shrine maybe to Bacchus. The three naves with lower side: the capitals of the columns depict allegorical figures and the ceiling has wooden beams. The small apse houses an altar slab on six small columns. On the altar, a small statue of the assumption of the 1600. Interesting the friezes adorning the Portal: plants and animals. We find an eagle, a lamb, a lion, a Peacock. Above the arch is a figure that some identify as Christ Redeemer and others like san Benedetto.
